Michael McElroy III, of Hattiesburg, caught a 236-pound, 9.6-ounce Yellowfin Tuna while using conventional tackle. The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources certified the record during their monthly meeting on Tuesday. The previous record was held by Robert Landingham when he caught a 205-pound, 12.8-ounce fish on June 9, 2001." - Renaldo Hopkins. TLO Outdoors would like to give a big congratulations to Michael on having his name etched into history.
