The Geissele Super Modular Rail (SMR) MK8 M-LOK is an ultra-modular, free-float AR-15 handguard designed to deliver a strong, rigid mounting platform with extensive accessory compatibility. Built around Magpul M-LOK attachment at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions (plus the upper 45-degree quadrants), the MK8 offers true modularity while maintaining a streamlined profile. Maximum venting along the lower 45-degree quadrants promotes excellent heat dissipation and helps reduce overall weight. The MK8 also uses Geissele’s proprietary 2.25-inch barrel nut to increase receiver interface surface area for a rail that stays straight and true along its full length—helping maintain accuracy and zero repeatability after maintenance. Installation requires a Geissele barrel nut wrench (sold separately).
