CPM SPY27 builds on cobalt-enriched VG-10 by adding niobium, nitrogen, and higher volumes of carbon, molybdenum, and vanadium to deliver outstanding edge retention, toughness, corrosion resistance, and easy sharpening. This model features an ultra-keen, satin-finished PlainEdge blade with a full-flat grind for efficient slicing. The handle is injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) in a distinctive cobalt blue—part of Spyderco’s SPY27 family—paired with a stout back lock and a fully configurable four-position pocket clip.
