The Daniel Defense Rail Interface System II (RIS II) M4A1 handguard was designed at the request of United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM) for the SOPMOD II program. This 2-piece, free-floating style handguard is built from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in Flat Dark Earth anodizing. It features an uninterrupted Picatinny rail platform for secure mounting of lights, grips, optics accessories, and other Mil-Std 1913 compatible attachments. The RIS II design also supports free-floating the M203 grenade launcher without additional parts, helping deliver a robust and mission-proven setup for AR-15 platforms.
