The upper half slides into the receiver like a bolt carrier group, while the lower half couples with steel bolts and receiver pins to fully support the inside and bottom of the receiver. This design keeps the optics rail accessible and includes a through-hole that doubles as a bore brush guide for efficient cleaning.
